Mid-year prompts for self-renewal and creating inner space
Hey, wonderful humans! We’re at that magical mid-point of the year - and I want to invite you to join me in pausing, reflecting, and realigning our intentions, aspirations, and desires. While we can of course do this anytime, mid-year offers us a point to turn inwards and reconnect with ourselves; to reflect on the year so far, and set our intentions for the second half of the year.
Self-renewal
Self renewal - the process of beginning again, or renewing our intentions and steps forward - is a process of mapping our expanding connection to our most embodied and alive Self - of leaning more into who you are and who you deeply and whole-heartedly want to be.
As you spend time in reflection, and space-making for the rest of the year, I invite you to explore these journal prompts.
Let’s create some inner space
Taking stock
Getting clear and present to who and where you are, what you want and what you need.
As we wrap up this most recent season of the year take the time to journal around the following questions:
Who are you right now?
What are the qualities of this season you’re in and the one you’re moving into?
What have you learned from the season you’re leaving / have left behind?
What aspects of the season ahead can you celebrate?
Processing and releasing
Everything that we experience and hold requires energy - to process and integrate. Processing and digesting these experiences creates space for what we want to take forward with us, releasing energy for what’s to come.
What might you release in the year ahead?
What is essential (in life and in the moment)?
What is challenging your stability?
What is taking energy out / putting energy in to your being and life right now?
What CAN you let go of?
Nourishing Self
This is about resourcing your foundation with the experiences, processes, environments and nutrients that it needs to grow.
Try these prompts to explore how to bring more nourishment into your world:
What feeds you or energises you?
What ideas, images, experiences support your authentic expression, wellbeing, creativity and internal expansion?
How would you like these resources to be part of your day-to-day for the rest of the year?
Expressing self-renewal
This is where all of that beautiful inner connection, processing and composting, nourishment and growth bursts forth - when we feel grounded, loved, and safe enough to express our true selves.
Consider these questions:
What needs to be expressed?
How do you honour your personal truth?
Would you like to share your truth with others? Who?
Take a moment to review your reflections. How does this process of renewal sit with you? What aspects excite you the most? Which aspects feel challenging? What picture have you painted for yourself? What actions feel natural and aligned with your current understanding?
These questions are here any time of year. You can return to them anytime you feel called to tune in, to make space, to release, and to dream of what’s to come.
